Tuner 2 signal question

Can someone please explain what could be the cause of my lower signal numbers on Tuner 2 vs Tuner 1. In particular it is Sat 101 Transponders 1-10:

tuner 1= 97 95 96 97 96 100 97 100 95 96
tuner 2= 95 69 85 70 75 48 76 65 82 51

because of this I sporadically get the error 771 Searching for signal on 2 for
TVland (304) and Nick (299)

If both tuner's numbers were low I would suspect my dish needs re-aligned, but I don't know what to check, and I don't want to pay $80 for a service call if it is something I can check/fix myself. I've read other postings and reset my DVR (HR20-100) but I haven't done anything with the b band converters, connections, or anything else.

Also- is there a way I can choose which tuner to watch?

Probably a bad cable or bad connector in the cable for tuner number 2. Swap the tuner 1 and tuner 2 cables. If problem moves to tuner 1 you need to check you cable and connectiors.

Could also be a bad BBC. You can unhook it from input 2 and check signal again for the 101. Be sure to reconnect it though.
