tunein radio and i heart radio apps coming to the hopper and HWS

i am telling you guys the truth about what is going on with bluegrass junction
Dude, Dish is a Television Provider.
No one gives a crap about the music channels this day and age.
Sure they are an added perk, But there are so many free ways to get music you want with a Smart tv, Blu Ray, PS3, PS4, Xbox, Smart phone, Tablet,Computers.
Enough already.

Shenanigans Allen. I'd like to see the amount of people who subscribe because of Bluegrass, versus the amount of dropped subs in the last week. People are blowing smoke up your...Allen.

I do listen to Bluegrass music and hate they did this. Causes my drive to & from work seem longer but I didn't cancel. I know one artist that travels nationwide and appears on the Grand Ole Opry regularly posted that they cancelled all four of their subscriptions. One of the reasons the artists are so upset are due to the royalties they will miss out on during this week's switch. Hurts artists & songwriters of the genre in their pocketbook.

you are about that the artists and record companies are missing their payments from bluegrass junction .that is why we need choices to listen to bluegrass music we would like to have tunein and iheart for that reason

Well, it more than likely isn't going to happen on the Hopper, so get over it, and get a Roku.

how do you guys know it might be at CES when they announce that tunein and iheart is coming to the hopper with sling in january yes i do own a roku but it would be nice to listen to radio stations on tunein and iheart throughout your house with bluetooth headphones.you cannot use bluetooth on a roku.am i right about that? :)

Bluetooth from the Hopper won't work all over your home. Do you have a smartphone or a tablet? If so, put the apps on that and you can carry it around close with you and it will work that way. I would like it (for convenience) if Hulu, Amazon, and AcornTV apps were on Hopper in addition to Netflix so I don't have to swap inputs on my AV receiver back and forth and use different remotes for Roku, AppleTV, and Amazon Fire, but that is the way it is, and I don't see it changing. Not to mention the fact that it might clog up the works (make it slower) in the current Hoppers. Maybe a new unit with more processing power could handle it.

this is what i do i have a pair of phillips bluetooth headphones and they work we have a small house and it works perfectly i can listen to them in my computer room,my bedroom,my parents bedroom and the only place where it cuts out is in the living room.i know you are talking about it the hopper being slower but would guys and gals would like to listen over 100,000 radio stations that stream on the internet.that way you will have a variety to listen to i know that the roku does the same thing but it isn't bluetooth.i am just passionate on trying to get these guys to come to dish network i love tunein and iheart.

Both are available via other commonly available and relatively cheap devices. No need to screw up the Hopper.

If you look back, this thread began with your post from the last CES. It would be bad form to announce it again.

The Roku 3 and Roku 4 both deliver audio through the remote. No special headphones/earbuds required.
