OK, as long as i have been doing this you would think i know the right answer but here goes. When i zero my motor, does it matter if i am on true south or on my true south satellite? What i mean is does the satellite arc, prefer one over the other?

when I set my system up using my usals on my fortec lifetime ultra, i zeroed in on true south with compas, turned on usals to locate true south satellite, when motor stopped i rotated my dish until it was on true south satellite with a strong signal, the locked it down. so now my zero point should be exactly true south. correct or not?

any clarification would help me out. i mean if i am supposed to use my true south satellite as my zero point, will it increase my signal strength on other satellites? Ok experts thanks for the help.

Correct! "0" is now your true south, but your true south satellite will be slightly off depending how close it is to your exact longitude!

so pete is it better to be on my true south satellite or on the 0 point? as it is? i mean in relation to the other satellites?

If you use USALS enter your coordinates, (the dish will move slightly) then find your true south satellite (by hand) you will be perfectly lined up to the ark, the "0" position will be dead on true south, but of course your true south satellite may not be exactly true south. I am lucky IA-6 is EXACTLY the same as my longitude.
