We've got an FTA setup we use to watch VTV-4 on IA5. For the last week or so, the signal from the transponder this channel is on (14), has been either really poor or simply not there. Other transponders come in just fine. Is this a symptom of the receiver or LNB failing? At first, I thought there was probably a problem on the sat but friends are getting everything fine. Any other suggestions?

Could be a few thing, maybe the trouble is at their end as all the other transponders are fine! Check all cable ends and renew if they look bad at all, look inside all connections to make sure there are no little strands of the cable shielding shorting out anything. This alone can cause transponders to drop out and not others! Seen this again just last week!
