Trouble with power to 722k receiver

Here is my problem. I have a 722k receiver connected to a panasonic viera LCD television. When the receiver turns off every night for a guide update, it will not power back on until you have powered on the tv that it is connected to. As soon as you power on the tv, the receiver powers on as well. Also, you cannot power on the receiver from the extra bedroom without first powering on the television in the main room. Basically, the only way to power on the receiver is to power on the main television that it is connected to. The weird thing is that after you have the initial power up of the receiver, you can power off the main television without the receiver powering off. No wiring has changed, and this started about a month ago. This means that the receiver will not turn on during the day to record any shows unless I power on the main tv manually every morning. Any suggestions? They have already replaced the receiver once, and a tech is supposed to be coming this weekend.

There is likely an HDMI setting that is causing this.

What type setting would I need to check in order to fix this?

Look for something along the line of "control by HDMI" on the TV
settings.
