I moved my stationary 30 ku dish from office to home and having trouble getting AMC 6.
Using a CW 800S receiver and a cheap signal finder.

I've never had this sat before so I'm not familiar with how or if it acts up.
When I blind scan I get 5 and sometime 6 transponders. However, when the receiver starts scanning for channels it just skips over and goes back to the screen where you start the scan from to start with, although the quality signal ranges from 60 to 90%.
It did load 1 channel, Peak 3 Encoder.
Looking at Lyngsat I can't seem to find the transponders listed to match what I hit when I blind scan. I also looked at the list of transponders on the nearby sats also.
Skew around -15

Am I on the wrong sat or is something set wrong.

72W is my due south bird. Try aiming for 12053/V/6890 --> Its an NBC Mux.

Seriously, besides this mux and the occasional feed, there isnt much on this sat.

Cheers, K

IIRC, there's a religious station that scans as CH1. 12053 is a strong transponder so try to maximize its Quality.

Cheers, K

yeah there is a religious station KFTL but with the low symbol rate (1666) sometimes receivers dont grab it on a blind scan

The NBC mux will go blank or even go down occasionally. It's not for affiliates to broadcast, it's for units in the field to see what's going on.

Thanks everyone. Yeah I saw the NBC Mux would come and go had me a little confused, since I don't use it every day.
I guess I'm going to have to put my 10ft BUD back up. That captured about every sat that I could get from my location.

Thanks again

You might try adjusting the skew a bit. I was unable to scan in any channels until I fine tuned my LNB.
