Hello everyone,
My boss has a boat with a TracVision 4-HP installed. He is finding that he's losing the 119 when he heads a little further south than the Florida Keys.
The 4-HP is semi-equivalent to an 18' dish. We are wondering if placing an in-line amp on the line would help extend his reception a little bit further.
We're aware of the technicalities - basically the purpose of an amp is to amplify an existing good signal so it can travel down a longer line with less degradation, so the application here isn't quite correct, but:
Has anyone tried what I described and what was your result?
Thanks!
