Could someone, please, explain Frequencies to me. I did a blind scan with a Pansat 2700 on 97W. For the audio channel '70's it shows 11051,V,22000. Yet, on Mike's killer list at global-cm.net, he shows 12053,V, 22000. Why are the frequencies different? Are frequencies different in different areas of the country, are transponnder frequencies constantly changing, or what? I am so confused.

I so want to get a handle understanding this stuff. Also, I have looked through the Pansat 2700 menus, and I take it you can't use the channel information to enter a channel that you didn't get on a blindscan. But I am assuming you can doo that in Channel Master?

Also, when I get into wild feeds, etc.., it sounds like the Coolsat 5000 is an excellent receiver. Will the Coolsat let you enter a channel directly if you have the correct information, or is there even a receiver that does that?

Thanks

All receivers (That I have) let you enter and scan any TP. including an "advanced" scan where you can also enter the PIDS.

Lists are out of date and TP's change!

Pete its not that...look at his original Frequency. 11051 is below KU high band :)

Is your LNB LO not set properly? Should be at 10750.

The frequencies are right for those channels. I have them on right now :)
The transponder frequencies should be between 11700 and 12200

every box I've worked with you can manually enter a channel via the transponder info (heck, 1/2 the boxes I have thats the only way to enter the satellite info is by hand)

I am using a Primestar dish.
Settings:
Universal 1
9750/10600

It has the old LNB that has H and V separated. Just added extra satellite to do both polarities..... like I learned in here. :up

Checked out the Advanced Scan on the 2700A. Pretty interesting. I had only used Blindscan, didn't really know what the purpose of the other scans were.

Does it really scan any better when you scan a single polarity at a time?

Thats the issue. The Primestar LNB is Standard 10750 LO, not Universal. Change that and you should be fine :)

No it doesnt scan any better if you do one polarity. The Pansats scan one polarity first, then flip to the opposite and rescans :)

Crumb!!! I just spent the 3 days using Channel Master laying out channels like I wanted. Guess I am going to do it a second time. Oh, well! I am learning, and I ought to be getting pretty fast at Channel Master.

Thanks...
