To Upgrade or Not?

I've been contemplating upgrading my 625 to a 722. I'd purchase and install myself.

My concern is the TIVO lawsuit and the possible sale to ATT. I guess the sale isn't my biggest concern but I don't want to layout the $$$ only to have the DVR function get negated due to some court ruling.

Any thoughts/comments?

Don't know if this will be helpful or not. You could always go with a VIP211, hooking it up to a DVD recorder through the HD outputs - that's what I have.
( All of the outputs are live on the 211) If it is something that I really want, I just record it to my HD-DVD recorder. That way it does not matter what happens
