Yeah, you cant go backwards with an HR2x, which was handy when you wanted to make a season pass of something that you knew had been on earlier on the same channel.
But you can get a 'list' type guide on the HR2x. Pull up the guide, hit the left arrow until the channel name is highlighted, then hit the 'info' button. Looks pretty much the same as the old tivo list guide. Extremely handy for recording lots of stuff thats on one channel, since you'll see a day or two worth on one page instead of just a couple of hours.
