Tivo multi-satellite PIP setup

I have a Philips Tivo DirecTV receiver with two satellite inputs. I have the satellite inputs connected to a multi-satellite dish. The recording functionality works fine (record two programs at the same time; record one while watching another) but I am also trying to get Picture-in-picture to work. My TV supports PIP and I have the Output 1 and Output 2 RCA outputs on the recevier connected to different inputs on the TV. However, when I try to set the PIP input to Line 1 or Line 2 I get the same channel no matter which one I switch to, even though the DirecTV receiver is currently recording one channel and watching another.

Any suggestions?

DirecTivos DO NOT support PIP or any form of it. they only output one channel at a time. all outputs on your DirecTivo out the exact same thing at the exact same time. you can't change it.
