Must be a marketing thing to panic the customer into a quick sale. Some websites to that, showing products flying off the shelves at breakneck speed.
I.E...Joe customer from Alaska just bought one...a few seconds later, Mary Jo just bought one from Florida.

Nope, I don't believe that. I think it's far more likely he monitors it, keeps some stashed just in case, and simply added some on the fly when he saw they were out because he said yesterday the next shipment is due next week.

No matter. It will be nice to have a fully functional receiver. I been living with a crippled box for too long. As soon as the snow melts away, I will try it out on a C band dish that burried in the snow.

I find out more and more about this receiver every time I go to use it, or just play with it. I wish I had one of these at least 5 years ago! EVERYTHING is configurable as far as I can tell, simply amazing!

Fizbi, Don't play games to sell product. If a product doesn't sell itself, it isn't worth selling! :biggrin

Three units were placed in the shopping cart this afternoon and the payments didn't clear. Cleared the abandoned carts and made them available.

When the first shipment is gone (3 remaining as of 6:27pm PST), the price goes to MSRP. Will have more in stock next week. :cool

primestar31,

I agree...this box is full of pleasant surprises.

John

Download and install this, then set it to your Mio's IP address. It's a channel editor. You can download, edit, and reupload your channel lists really quick. Probably a lot more. I'm not 100% positive on everything with it as of yet (so can't answer many questions) as I only got it last night from Brian telling me about it when I asked, but even so I bumbled through it and cleaned up almost 3,000 channels in about 1/2 hour! There's a Windows version and a Mac version for sure. If you've never had it before, you want the "COMPLETE" install. The page is in German, but the software itself loaded all in English for me. Bonus, it recognized I'm running 64bit mode, and loaded that version.

Really sweet!

Wow! How time flies! It has been over two months since the Mio 4K was brought to market. Thanks for your growing interest in this exceptional STB!

Thanks to the support and efforts of hobbyists like El Bandido, McElliott and many other developers, the North American Project is positively impacting the Enigma2 set-up box experience for North American hobbyists. The first-time start-up and installation experience is now tailored to present familiar terminology, configurations, satellites and services for our continent.

I am grateful for the hard work and incredible talent which is volunteered in the open source satellite community by these individuals. I believe that we are just at the beginning of a settop box revolution in North America!

To avoid this thread from becoming a mega-thread with unmanageable, buried useful information, I've asked the moderators to close this thread so future posts will have their own subject threads.

Thank you for your participation and input on a very successful product launch in North America! Now on to the future and our community making the open source Enigma2 project even better!
