I tried searching this forum for a similar problem, but cannot seem to find an exact same scenario. I do not have any "series" that I like to record, only movies from the premium channels and in HD only. I set up numerous movies that I'd like to watch via remote access, NEVER using the guide, ALWAYS over the remote access. When I go into MYDVR after "add recording" has been set, the MYDVR indicates the movie is scheduled. After adding 30 or so movies, the scheduled movies keep climbing, but do not appear in the timer section.

The next day, I go back into the remote access and all the scheduled movies are gone! It is very irritating to say the least to add the movies and see them scheduled, log out, log back in and see them still there, only to find them gone the next day...

Anyone have any idea if I'm overloading the DVR or what's going on? Thanks.

Hit the DVR button 3 times, and scroll UP through the list, and see if the things you scheduled are there, and deleted, or what? That might give you some more info..

Try scheduling a few the regular way, through the guide using the remote, and see what happens. Do you have a neighbor with Dish, perhaps they are on the same remote control frequency as you, and when they control their receiver, it controls yours also. That's happened to others, and if so, you can change your remote from the default.

Maybe it's a problem with Dish's remote access, try contacting their CS reps, and see what they can find out. They have ways of remotely polling your receiver, and maybe can see an issue.

Thanks for the advise! I went into the dvr the old fashioned way (DVR 3x) and I had 222 timers set up, which was about what I was expecting (we have a list of movies we'd like to see).

Low and behold, this morning, only 96 of them were there. I seem to recall reading somewhere that there is a limit on the number of timers that you can have but I thought I read where you couldn't add any more on the local DVR but you could add them via remote access. I guess it turns out you can add them, but only for a day!

I hope I'm wrong, but I think I'll have to live with it. Good thing is I highlighted the movies off our list that were supposed to be on over the next 2 weeks so i can delete all the timers and add just those.

Dish Network possible here?
