Time Warner Cable in Jackson added two channels to its digital lineup this week — one targeting African-American adults, the other, weather buffs.

The cable TV service also added a high-definition signal.

Subscribers to the digital service now receive these added channels:

TV One, a lifestyle and entertainment network, on channel 173.
Programming includes lifestyle and home improvements series, dramas, sitcoms, music shows, movies, syndicated series and public affairs series.

Some of the specific programs are Singletary Says, a financial series with Washington Post columnist and National Public Radio host Michelle Singletary; The Tom Joyner Sky Show with the noted radio host; and TV One on One with Cathy Hughes, featuring interviews with such "African-American movers and shakers" as U.S. Sen. Barack Obama and Oscar winner Jamie Foxx.

WLBT WeatherPlus, 24-hour-a-day local weather information broadcast, on channel 102. The channel offers updated forecasts and Doppler Radar views, along with weather reports from local meteorologists every 15 minutes.
WLBT also is broadcasting a high-definition signal on channel 1002.
