Looks like the 2nd game of today's double header won't be in HD on Dish tonight. Luckily this is only the 2nd time all season that they haven't put up the HD feed and both times it was a make up of a rained out game. Last time the rained out game was supposed to be the night before so dish might not have had enough time to decide to put it up. I was hoping they would this time though because it has been announced since Friday.

Edit: The second game is at 7:00pm tonight. They got special permission from ESPN to televise during their exclusive Sunday night window due to the rain out. The Dish guide hasn't been updated on the SD channel either but FSN Detroit is televising both games today.

Of course, ESPN could do us all a favor by broadcasting the Tigers-Twins game instead of the Dodgers-Reds this evening. :)

Bit of a bummer, but your right only second time this season and both were rain out situations! Go Tigers!

Right. There shouldn't be much on the RSNs tonight though. ESPN has the exclusive Sunday night window for baseball so there shouldn't be much competition for RSN HD bandwidth. I see that there are no DIRT members on right now but does anyone know a DIRT member scheduled to be online Sunday mornings or afternoons? Maybe they could get in touch with whoever turns on the HD feeds and let them know about the game.

The Dish gamefinder website doesn't acknowledge that there is a second game tonight so maybe they don't know about it. I would gladly PM a DIRT member to ask but I'm not sure which ones will be online today. It is a very big game because it's possible that the Tigers could be in first place after tonight and it would be nice to see it in HD.

Be sure to check at game time. Had this happen with NESN, they too got permission for a second game, though from FOX that time on a Saturday, and the guide did not reflect it, but it was in HD also.

And yes, would like to see that game too rather than what ESPN is showing.....

Your right on the bandwith issue and that it should be a lite night for RSN's

As of now the HD feed isn't on but good news for those of you with the sports pack. The guide hasn't been updated so the game won't be blacked out for anyone on the SD feed.

Matt from Dirt just informed me that he has escalated this to try to get it turned on for us. I don't know if it will happen before the game is over or not but I'm glad they're at least trying to do something for us.
