It isn't that D* doesn't try or want to get InHD programming services. It is mostly because InHD is a cable based programming service run by one of D*'s most staunch competitors; iN Demand Networks. Their primary shareholders are Comcast, Cox Communications and Time Warner. (Ring any bells?) They all work very hard to keep InHD programming off of D* and all to themselves.

Again if DirecTV really wanted to offer this channel these cable companies can't do anything to stop it because DirecTV has the wallets to pay the costs of going to court. Remember that the InHD channels are sent via satellite and as such have to be made available to all providers at a similiar price to what they are currently charging other companies for it. If DirecTV wants it that bad they will go to court and it will either get settled or a middleman would come in and pretty much do the deal for both sides but that costs much money and time and most companies just end up caving in because once it goes to court the company that looses has to pay all the court costs for the winner. Now Indemand can't force another company to carry their channels but they can't stop other companies from getting it. If DirecTV coul care less about InHD than thats it but if they care about it they will get it.

Sadly to say Voom doesn't have the money to take this to court because even if they win and InDemand pays their court costs the fact is you still have to have money to get there. You have to pay all that money before you can get it back.
