Just bumped down from Access ($44.99) to Core ($39.99) until college football season kicks back up in fall. I really dig the ability to scale up and down.
Outside of NCAA football (ESPN U, ESPN News, SEC Network) season I really don't need Access... maybe for March Madness. I will debate even that next year. We do drop Hallmark which Mrs. Jago typically only watches for holiday movies which is during football season any way... along with DIY and IFC. Those few aren't worth it for us.
A&M's first football game is 8/20 so to be safe, I'll bump up a tier on 8/18. That is off billing cycle dates and the jump in tiers is pro-rated which is nice versus having to pay a whole month ahead. Keep in mind, if you scale down though, it is not pro-rated
down because you already pre-paid for current month. It waits until the next billing cycle to lower your pricing. All in all, this temp move in tiers saves me about $30. Worth it though as I'm not losing anything we need. Posting this took me far longer than it did to change tiers
Looking back on my old plan... I cut my Dish bill in half, saving roughly $550 annually and now I can view on 3 TVs instead of 1.
Add: Free Pluto TV (app and web based) has Fox Sports although it is not your specific region (FS SW, etc). Thought I'd share if that helps anyone debating Vue packages.
