YouTube Premium Lite now available in the USA (really)

When YouTube Premium Lite 'officially' became available in the US in early March, many (mainly existing Premium subscribers) were unable to switch to the Lite plan. I chatted with YT support several times and each time they gave different excuses as to why I did not see YT Lite as an option despite the fact that I live in the US and the website showed, "Premium Lite on YouTube is currently only available in the United States, Australia, Germany, and Thailand. We may expand to more users in the future."

Today, I got an email from YT Support:

Hi Ted,

[Name] here, a Support Specialist from YouTube. Your case was escalated to my team and we'll be working directly with you from here.

I understand that you have concerns about YouTube Premium lite. We're pleased to inform you that YouTube Premium Lite is now fully available to all users in the United States. You should now see the option to subscribe to YouTube Premium Lite when you visit the YouTube Premium subscription page.

We sincerely apologize if this option was not available to you earlier. The rollout of YouTube Premium Lite in the US has been a gradual process over the past few days, and we understand any inconvenience this may have caused.

We encourage you to visit the YouTube Premium subscription page again to explore the YouTube Premium Lite option.
