The Masters

No, the widely acknowledged hardest record in all of sports to break is Johnny Vandermeer's back to back no hitters, because to break it, you'd have to pitch three in a row, If Mickelson's wedge that missed the 15th hole by inches had dropped in, he would have had three successive eagles in a major, and to break that someone would have to make four successive eagles in a major.

IMHO, the sports world overlooks Fernando Tatis's record of two grand slams on one inning. No one will ever break that, because no one has ever even come to bat with the bases loaded three times in one innoing.

Oh. Ok, now I get it. It went right over my head. I didn't get to watch any of the Masters today.

Man, Mickelson had one helluva 30 minutes today, 2 eagles and a birdie. Awesome. That second eagle was just beautiful.

I am hoping for Tiger to crank it up tomorrow, and make a run.

I thank GOD for making this golf coures and HDTV. This is a beauty to watch!
Without a doubt! An aunt & uncle just returned from Augusta after having watched the Par3 and days one and two action. I wish that I had photos to post. Unfortunately, I won't be watching the final round until later this evening on the Tivo. It's shaping-up to be a classic finish.

Just caught up to live action on the Tivo...

great action!!! Lot's a unbelievable shots today, but the wheels are starting to come off on some players. Phil is handling the pressure extremely well and looks like he is going to hold his 2-shot lead. Kim got right back into contention with back-to-back-to-back birdie-eagle-birdie. Westwood has been having a rough time today (really fighting it), but he is only 2-back. Choi looked like he was going to move into the lead...before he bogied 12 (or was it 13). Tiger has been inconsistent - dropped a couple, picked up four, dropped a few more and picked up a few more. He had a reasonable put for birdie (15 footer) and would up three putting. He would only be 2-shots out if it if weren't for that boneheaded fiasco.

i'd be ok with phil winning if he hadn't mentioned exxonmoble in that damn ad earlier now they will take credit for his victory, have a party, give out bonus's and gas prices will jump 30cents in the next hour. I've gotta go before it jumps...

Congrats to Phil. His 30 minutes stretch yesterday, as mentioned above, is what turned around his game.

That shot on the par 5-13th hole when he split the two trees in the woods to land on the green within 3 feet of the hole?! OMFG! That was as good of a shot you'll ever see!!!

GO LEFTY!

He should have made the putt though.

That was indeed an incredible shot, but it was also incredible risky. Phil mentioned that he needed to distance himself from the others who were right on his heels. However, I would have advised him to lay it short of the creek (par 5) and he would have a short loft-wedge into the green. . While Phil was hitting his risky shot, Tiger was lining-up a reasonable 15" birdie putt that would have moved him within 2-shorts of Mickelson...but amazingly Tiger 3 putted.

Also, a very touching moment when he embraced his wife on the 18th green. It took me a few years to warm-up to Phil since, for years, he was always always shaking his head after choking in the final round at the majors, however he has turned into a gracious champion and a fan favorite. Nice to see Phil win his 3rd green jacket.

Phil's always been a class act. Personally, I've always rooted for him just for the similarity between him and I that we both golf left handed. As for the touching moment between him and his wife, that was great to see. That family has been so much this year. For them to share a happy moment such as this was great.
