The Masters

Earlier coverage will be available online @ masters.com. Before it was on ESPN, early round coverage was on USA but that was still late in the day. I believe The Masters always has limited TV coverage.

network coverage is just a bunch of talking heads right now. don't care for the featured group either :\

Fred Couples is leading after the first round with -6 (66)

I just finished watching today's action...lots of great score, and nice to see Couples (50) and Watson (60) having outstanding rounds.

1st round leaders:
1 Fred Couples 66 -6
T2 Tom Watson 67 -5
T2 Lee Westwood 67 -5
T2 Phil Mickelson 67 -5
T2 Y.E. Yang 67 -5
T2 K.J. Choi 67 -5
T7 Anthony Kim 68 -4
T7 Nick Watney 68 -4
T7 Ian Poulter 68 -4
T7 Tiger Woods 68 -4
T7 Ricky Barnes 68 -4

Good to see a 5 & 60 year old a-top the leader board. Can they hang on though? Tiger btw, posted his LOWEST opening round ever in the Masters yesterday.

Add Sandy Lyle at -3 and that leader board could be mistaken for 20 years ago. LOL

That was the softest I've ever seen that course play. What is the forecast as it affects the greens hardening up and the wind gusting?

I just finished watching today's action. The scores were a bit higher today, but still very good. Expect the greens to be harder and faster over the weekend...with difficult pin locations. Watson and Couples were showing their age today, but they are still near the top of the leaderboard.

2nd Round Leaderboard:
T1 Ian Poulter 68 68 -8 136
T1 Lee Westwood 67 69 -8 136
T3 K.J. Choi 67 71 -6 138
T3 Tiger Woods 68 70 -6 138
T3 Ricky Barnes 68 70 -6 138
T3 Anthony Kim 68 70 -6 138
T3 Phil Mickelson 67 71 -6 138
8 Y.E. Yang 67 72 -5 139
T9 Soren Kjeldsen 70 71 -3 141
T9 Fred Couples 66 75 -3 141
T9 Tom Watson 67 74 -3 141

And look who is lurking in near the leaderboard....EVERYONE above him is looking over his shoulder.

Phil the Thrill came within a few inches of displacing Johnny Vandermeer as the holder of the most difficult record in all of professional sports to break.
