I do not see how the mobile wallet hurts MC/Visa. If all it is doing is allowing you to charge a purchase on your existing MC/Visa, the CC companies should love that it is easier than ever to make charges. Now, if they set up a rival credit network that would be a different thing.

they don't necessarily get the info as to WHERE the card was used from Google/PayPal.... That hurts their ability to target offers based on purchases.

The merchant had to get the card info, just like they would with a regular card. How else will the merchant be able to collect the money.
