The Flash

So many "easter eggs" on this one. Supergirl, an alternate Green Arrow (was that the one from Smallville?), Barrys dad as the flash, a flight ring from the Legion of Super Heroes. All in the speed catapult scene as they travel to earth 2.

I wonder if the images they saw are also images from other alternate earths or they were images from other times in the past/future? The legion of super heroes was in the 30th century in the comics and Superman was a member. Barry as the Flash could of been on another earth that had Flash in the 90s -like the tv show then. Super girl could of been on another earth ,which would explain why we haven't heard anything about her or Superman yet on Flash. Maybe FLash will travel to that earth in the future episodes in March .

In the Crisis on Infinite Earths mini series comics there were many ,many multiple earths in the multi-verse , all vibrating at different speeds and they couldn't see each other. Until the anti-monitor showed up and destroyed many of them and then merged the remaining 5 universes into one universe at the beginning of time, leading to the deaths of both FLASH and Supergirl in the process. That happened in 1986 in the Crisis of Infinite Earths mini series was used to integrate all the different comics that D.C. comics had bought along the way. It was a way of retelling all their super heroes origins and gave them a uniform universe to exist in. No more earth 1 /earth 2 ,etc. It also made all their super heroes young again so they could be around without explaining why they haven't aged ,since many of them had been around since the 40s. I think that FLASH might use some of these stories in telling their story.

DC reboots every 10-20 years. It explains the aging thing and it reduces continuity problems. They often collapse the number of "universes" but then just expand them again and somehow or other Barry Allen came back to live. Since Supergirl has said "there are two heroes on Earth now" with the other being Superman I am guessing she is on another Earth which makes crossovers self contained. How often will Barry and Company enter the breach? But they will do what they will do. No sense in us wondering about what they could have or should've done.

Oh, but speculation about what kind of stories they will use and tell is all we do here in this forum. Without it, there is simply no reason to talk about it.:oldwink

Ok , I just read the cheatsheet.com email and they suspect the same thing. Super girl on an alternate earth. Makes sense why we have never heard about the man of Steel or his cousin on this earth. Although in the comics they all existed on the same earth.

Good show last night, but one thing I found odd, and even a little counterproductive if the producers are trying to pump up the viewership of Supergirl a tad, there was absolutely no mention of the crossover on the Flash. I skip the commercials so they may have done an ad there, but during the show...nothing.

I'm wondering if the Supergirl crossover will tie into next week's Flash episode.

I doubt it. This is a guest star cross over with the FLASH on SUPERGIRL. Might even be an alternate earth FLASH that isn't the same Flash we watch on CW.

My nephew & I have figured it out about flash ending up on Supergirl(based on watching sneak peeks of the Supergirl episode on You tube). Based on one of the sneak peeks, Barry/Flash has this strange looking metallic circle thing around his emblem. My nephew said that it looks like something that Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash would wear, & we know that the Flash is going back into time Tuesday to actually get help from "Dr. Harrison Wells" Eobard Thawne to become faster. Well, I'm guessing that it works & Barry travels back in time 24hrs from Tuesday tomorrow night to Monday Tonight on Supergirl. So maybe in reality, tonight's Supergirl episode should have occurred next week instead of tonight chronologically speaking.

This reminds me why time travel causes my head to hurt .:coco

My nephew says that our theory is correct.

We have seen that emblem before. Not sure when but we have. As for any anachronisms I understand that Barry's say trip to another earth will be mentioned somehow on the Flash tonight.

I'm not talking about the white Flash emblem, I talking about that metallic circular device that the Flash was wearing when he entered Supergirl's earth & when he left her earth. He only wore it twice, at the beginning of the show & then at the end to help him get back home. Tonight we'll see how he got that device. It reminded me of the device that Firestorm wears.

I understand. And I am sure it has been seen before.

Berlanti stated it will be referenced. Not sure how or in how much depth but that was the claim.

Looks like yall were off a bit. The tacheyon device likely is not coming until next week, which would put the Supergirl crossover sometime after that in the time frame. I just wonder if they will mention it then, or just keep going as if it didnt.

I sure did not see what Berlanti referred to. Who knows. it is just TV though. I think that the show should clear up all the problems with last year's finale before they tackle this.
