The Amazon Phone reported be an AT&T exclusive with Amazon Prime Data

Dumb on their part they should always put it out on all carriers.

AT&T probably the only one to give Amazon a special rate on the data.

Amazon already has deals with AT&T for their Kindles. I don't think any of us are in a position to know why, but an educated guess is Amazon got a better deal with signing an exclusive, than they would have making it available to all carriers. Beyond that, making a phone specifically for one carrier especially at start up is a lot less expensive, gives less chance for bugs, and allows for a quicker start date.

So maybe Amazon knows what it is doing?
