Thank you bug/flaw

I just noticed on a post that I received a thank you on that the option to edit the post is not available so would this be a bug, flaw or intentional so as to keep the post from being changed?

Safe to say it's as-designed. It could make the "thanker" look pretty bad if you edit your post to be 180' opposite of what you originally said and were thanked for.

Okay... I "Thank you"ed the OP and afterwards edited the post by adding the last line in italics. When I did, the thank you was gone.

Hall has the right idea, but I think there may be something an admin can do with the system settings, but I am not sure..

Then I would suggest removing the thank you option from the classifieds forum so that an original post can be amended to show a correction in an item description or that it has sold.
