Terrible HD Picture Locally

Just got the new 5 LNB dish installed to get local HD channels. My local HD channels look real bad, very pixelated - looks like trying to watch video on PC via dial up connection at times. My phone gets better looking video. Same problem at times on TNT HD.

What is going on? Am I not getting a strong enough signal or something? Or does DTV HD local on MPG4 just suck this much? ESPN HD and others still look fine, over the air antenna still looks great.

It sounds like the dish was not properly peaked. Check the signal levels on the 99 and 103 sats. That is where the hd locals are located.

I have one of the old 3 LNB with oval dishes with Samsung hd receiver. I have noticed since TNT HD has come online that it has alot of pixelating, especially in fast panning shots. The other HD channels I get do not have the problem. I have noticed this most often when watching the NBA playoff games. I would not say its your setup, but maybe the channel itself. My dish is receiving very good signal levels.

Side note..not to be mean...but I was thinking about going to the 5lnb dish. But if the same problems are with the new MPEG 4, it makes my decision just that much easier.
