I just clicked a Sports Forum thread, and one of its posts contained an "ad" by the Republican National Porter criticizing representative Carol Shea-Porter for voting for her own pay raise.

I lived in her state for most of my life and frequently read New Hampshire on-line newspapers. I am curious: did that ad present itself to me because of my browsing history, or is the Republican National Committee actually running this nationally? She doesn't seem to have the kind of national appeal that would make her a poster child for bashing Congress. Those campaigns are usually focused on higher profile congressional members.

Hard to say, since we don't see the inventory being served. But the overall majority of the ads are targeted based on your browsing history.

We had issues earlier in the week at our ISP, so I went to our ISP's homepage to open up a support ticket... now all the ads I am seeing are for our ISP. (Which is kind of silly since they are just preaching to the choir, as I am already their customer.)
