Over the past 2 days something has been happening to our servers between 8am and 8:45 am where our server load shoots up from 0.50 to over 15.0.

We are investigating why this is happening as we have made no recent changes to our server.

We do appologize for the slowness, downtime, or server error messages you may have had durring these times.

I was wondering wtf was going on, I never even noticed it was the same time each day.

I now believe that it was happening due to a stats program kicking in and trying to precess data from the last year.

Cool. At first I thought it was just me and Iceberg said he was having the same problem so I was scratching my head as to what could be causing the problem.

I noticed it too for the last two mornings. Hangups on the threads and finally locking up entirely. I had to just tune in later in the day to get on this website.

Of course it has to do this as I am driving to work.

Today I let it go for awhile before stopping it as I wanted to see if it was clear itself.

I was having the same problem too on Thursday and Friday but no problem today ( Saturday ).
