Syfy picks up 'Being Human'

RDF's 13-episode dramedy is based on a BBC series

The misfits from the hot British dramedy "Being Human" will face another challenge: being American.

Syfy has handed out a 13-episode order to a U.S. version of the BBC show from RDF Media USA.

Doubtful, typically U.S. productions of British shows use a different cast. They even did that with The Eleventh Hour, even though Patrick Stewart was the star in the British version.

Unfortunately, with Being Human having a run on BBC America with much publicizing, the impact of a Syfy series will be low and thus detrimental to it's ratings, especially if series two hits BBC America before Syfy shows it's version.

I don't think there would be a season 2 of the show on BBCA. I thought they wrapped up all the lose ends in the last show.
