Just moved and had my dish upgraded to the swm. I have a cabin with the older slimline 5 running b bands. I have two h22-100 and niether will adjust back to the old dish.

I have unplugged and pushed red reset.

Gone through dish set up and changed from swm to multi (I have tried every dish that says b band required)

Checked signal strength (Done)

Signal meters have acquired both tuners on 101, 110, 119

All transponders look good.

When I return to dish setup and hit continue it hangs on verifying installation for 15 mins and then gives me 771a

When I've tried other methods to get out it goes to advanced guide screen and hangs on 0% complete forever.

My stuff was shelved for a couple months but the installer had it all working with the swm, I not certain but there used to be more options when you hit the menu button, I only have 4 with repeat sat setup and info and test as the major choices.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

At the cabin on the older slimline make sure to use b band converter. Reset the receiver, repeat sat setup & be sure to select the appropriate dish setup. Also make sure switch is set to multiswitch.

The left pic is a slimline 3
The right is a slimline 5
It is important to select the correct setup.

Is the dish at the cabin really a Slimline? You should have the 99 and 103 satellite signal strengths, too.

Stardust & Raoul thx for the response I have done all that, b bands are in place. I was told it was a slimline dish and it has the slimline 5 lnb as pictured in your post.
When I was in the process of selecting every dish in the setup screen the 99 and 103 came up but the signal was in the 30's and 40's. When I select slimline 5 with multi and dual tuner I get strong signal on 101,110,119 and they are the only sats that appear.

Ok, I got home and checked and I am getting feeds from 103 and 99. 103 is in the 60's and 99 is all zero's.

103 in the 60's is no good, no signal on 99, sounds like your dish needs re-tuned.

I guess I got lucky the first time and accidentally hit enough of 99 and 103 to hook up. I'll re-tune and let you know. Is there anyway to reset back to factory other than unplugging of the red button?

Unplugging of the Red Button ?

Try this,
Menu/Set Up/System Set Up/ReSet/
Here you can : ReStart Recvr, ReSet Defaults or ReSet EVERYTHING

I'm in the exact same situation as thread starter. I have a multiswitch at home and a swm setup at my tailgating camper. I had a box die on me last night so I went and got the camper box (h23-600) which had been sitting since last fall. I force updated the software to the new GUI (obviously has a connection if it was able to do that), but I can't get it to get past "verifying your installation". It seems to keep reverting the dish type to the slimline 5s (Swm) with swm switch. When I change it to slimline5 with multiswitch I can see all my signals, but it will never actually go through and then when I cancel/reset the box, it's set back to the swm.

Suggestions?

Thread starter, how did you resolve?
