Switching to DTV

Hi everyone, I want to switch to DTV (I have Dish right now) by the end of the month. I was wondering, if I get the free DVR offer, what model of receiver will I get? Also, does a phone line NEED to be hooked up to all recievers or only DVR receivers? And finally, one more question: For those that have the Packet8 VoIP service, can DTV receivers work with it, or do I need a direct PSTN phone line?

you will have to pick a R-10 or R-15(one is a tivo one is not) get a R-10 it is the best

you will need a phone line for the first call with tivo(you can take it to a friends and make the call there no dish needed)
