I had an SW64 switch that began giving problems. Receivers kept saying that a problem has be detected with my switch. After performing a few "CHECK SWITCHES" and that didn't fix the problem I went to check it out and found it was hot to the touch, specifically port #1, including the LNB that is connected to that port. No other LNB's or ports were hot.
I noticed that when I changed out the configuration with some DP LNB's and a DP switch port #1 still gets hot including the LNB. I changed the coax that runs to the switch from the LNB and the problem still exists.
Is this normal?? Did my SW64 go bad because of overheating?? What would cause this and how can it be fixed??
Thanks in advance for all your help
