So here's the story:
I have 3 Ku band dishes and one 10' C band with LNBF. The 3 Ku band LNBs are connected to inputs 1, 2 and 3 on a 4 way disecq switch. The output of the diseqc switch goes to the 22Khz input of a 22Khz switch. The C-Band LNBF goes to the 0Khz input of the 22Khz switch.
A single RG-6 cable goes into the house (probably 150', no more) and connects to the input of a Pansat 3500SD. From the output of the Pansat I'm connected to a DSR-905 4DTV receiver which is slaved to an analog Uniden Supra.
This setup was working fine, when the Pansat was on it would control the 22Khz switch and diseqc switch and I was able to select from any of the 4 available dishes. With the Pansat turned off it passed the signal to the 905 and I was able to watch my 4DTV subscription stuff, all was good!
Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I tore down the 3 Ku dishes and made a new mount with more room for other dishes. I put it all back up and aligned the 3 Ku dishes on the satellites I wanted and connected everything to the disecq and 22Khz switches. When I went to scan in the satellites I set the Pansat for AMC9, 22Khz on and disecq to 3 (which is where that LNB is connected) to try and pick up the RTN feeds and did a smart scan and what I got was G10R programming which is connected to input 1 of the diseqc.
As it was all working I assumed I had a bad diseqc switch so I ordered a new one from Sadoun. I went out last night to tidy up all the wiring and make it "lawnmower safe". I tidied it all up and put in the new diseqc switch and went back in to scan.........same result although this time when I was scanning AMC 9 it came up with some stuff from G10R and a handful of channels from AMC 21!
Now I think I may have been having this problem before but I didn't use the FTA setup much over the winter (just the 4DTV) but I'm not too sure.
I didn't have time to do any troubleshooting last night but I think the first thing I'm going to do is remove the 22khz switch from the system and go direct to the diseqc to see if that works.
Failing that I'll re-do all my cable ends.
Any other thoughts?
Sorry for the long post but I find the more info. the better the answer.
