sv8000hd Blind scan

I have an sonicview 8000hd.I't's hooked up to a 33in dish with a invacom lnb,steered by a hh90motor.Lately when blind scanning on g18,or any sat,the reciever stops about 20% into the scan.It then flips to the settings page with no writting or anything filled in.On dtv scans it won't even start.Has anyone had this problem before?Should I save all my sat and channel entries and do a factory reset?thanks for any help. tob

Which firmware are you running?

I haven't had this issue but you can try a few things:

-turn it off and back on with the switch on the back
-reload the factory firmware
-check for proper ventilation/outside heat sources
-delete channels, transponders or satellites that you won't use.

I'm guessing the last one is your real problem. You probably just need to free up some space for further scanning.
