This is my second post. My first one was about techs not performing installation and me just going to do it myself if the supervisor never called. They did not even though I was told they would call within 24 hrs to set up a time to come check it out. Today I called to get another tech out, one last time before I purchase all the items in my Amazon cart and do it myself.
Although I am sure the Directv guy I spoke to gets calls like mine all the time and knows exactly what to say to make customers feel at ease, I feel he meant what he was saying. Here are a few key notes:

He asked if I was going to reschedule and I told him I was not rescheduling but scheduling another tech to come out, I already had three come out.

He asked what the three said each time, I started with the first one and gave details for each and described how each had different reasons for not installing after I solved the previous problem before another tech came out.

He thanked me for describing each account in detail and apologized for the service. He mentioned, which I already knew, that Directv subcontracts their installations and that it ends up bringing negative views of Directv.

He then said Directv wants my service and since the specific details and issues were brought to his attention he will have them solved before the tech arrives (next Friday since I am off work that day). Whether he has any control over that I don't know and kind of doubt. But it was still nice to hear.

He also ensured me that the RG6 cable, which the last tech had said will be 100-110 ft of cable and does not know if it will work and isn't going to spend an hour and half on something he is not for sure on, is fully cable of working. He said most people would have stopped trying after the second tech came out but he appreciated me wanting to be a Directv customer and sticking with it since it sounds like any "problem" the techs found I had solved and especially since I even told the last tech I would pay custom installation if he had to use more cable or do extra work. He said, there is no reason you should have to buy and install anything yourself.

I figured I would share this. He seemed sincere. At first I was a little disappointed at Directv and guess I still am for how they do not necessarily have more control over their subcontractors. I think Mastec advanced technologies is mine and after reading the reviews on them I guess I see why I am having so much trouble!
