Suggestion: VoOm HD Movie downloads via broadband internet connected STB

Don't stop at trying to licence VoOm content to other Cable/Satellite providers. Make VoOm HD originals available to others that are not within those cable systems.

How???

Make Voom HD movies available to broadband internet users through the use of a STB that connects via ethernet to customers broadband connections. There are several new codecs avaible that make this possible. The interface would allow customer to browse through a library of VoOm HD movies and other VoOm recorded content and download it to their STB. Customers can store several downloaded movies on their STBs and can at any time que up new movies to download. The STBs should have component/DVI/5.1 outputs just like the current voom STBs and could optionally stream DRM protected video to PCs on the customer's home network.

Then... Just ship the plug and play STBs to the customer, no installers necessary... no hassles. Once Voom account is activated customers can start downloading HD movies :D :D :D

Who Will Own Rainbow-1 after FCC Rules on Sale of Rainbow DBS Licenses?
