Hi everyone. Today I noticed while scanning the arc that my quality was getting alot lower on sats, at first I thought it was to do with the solar problem, however I figured out when I was swinging back east from 125 that it was stopping about .3 degrees shy of all the sats. I did it three to four times through and each time the signals were getting worse until finally i was down to like 20 pct on even g3 which is normally 77 for me on quality. I get no problem at all going west from 72 out to 125. only when i am going east does the signals go down. I am not having issues going from 111.2 back to the east, but going out to 125 is doing something to my motor. heck even going from 125 to 123 is dropping my 123 sat down about 12 pct!

I have heard of the slack adjustment, and even looked online, but what would I adjust to make the dish not drop like that going back east from 125? It just started doing this, I scan all the way out to 125 every day and never had this issue.

I love scanning in 123 G 18 because i find alot of good stuff on that sat and occasionally watch the pbs channels on 125.

Anyone ever seen or heard of this before?

Thanks

Definitely sounds like slack or backlash in the motor. This happens often with DiSEqC H-H motors. I've never had or adjusted a DG-280, so I'm not familiar with the procedure.

it sounds like your motor has moved/rotated slightly on the pole, this can be caused by strong winds, i would drive the motor to your southern most satelite (or anyone close that you currently have programmed in) then re-align the motor for best signal quality
