I finished my last bag a couple weeks ago. I'd say I timed it pretty well. Sunday I'll be making chicken and sour cream enchiladas with the fresh green chile. My mouth is watering already.

Roasters are out, Chile's in stock at La Tienda, have to take stock of my supplies & freezer room...

Yep, been thinking the same thing... Still have a lot of Elk, chicken & beef taking up space.

Had to chuck my last order of cans, too many rocks and sticks. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose.

Semi thawed out 2 packages, peeled and ran thru grinder then put in green chile container left over from deer hunt... Much easier than peeling & dicing before using.

They started roasting here last week, may get some & process this weekend.

It's already hot in New Mexico, but it's about to get even hotter because it is green chile season.

Finished processing about 30 minutes ago. I usually just bag with skin on but this time peeled & ran most through the grinder then vacuum sealing. (really coarse blade, worked perfectly)

Had tacos for lunch with 80/20 HB from a family pack & ladle of Chile to each package. Good!

Early season this year. We usually don't see a chile harvest until August. I still have 15 or 20 lbs of Lemitar chile in the freezer. I'll definitely be picking up 40 pounds or so of this seasons Hatch chile in a few weeks though.

How far east do they sell them?

Have no idea how far they go to back eastern part of country for selling chilies.

If that what you are saying.

Must be pricey for shipping chilies to that part of country.
