Hello all I'm in Iraq and just bought a satellite and reciver. I found a signal but it is all in arabic. I'm wondering how to go about getting channels in english and also if ican get ESPN, Fox news and channels like that. Any help would be much appericated.

Here is a list of satellites from your area!

ALWAYS check the BEAM or footprint of the satellite to see if you have a chance of reception.

Please keep us up to date with what channels you find! And any pictures would be appreciated :)

THANKS for your service :flag:

Check Astra, HotBird, and TurkSats amongst others. Astra might be difficult to get, but Hotbird's signal should be strong enough. You will need an HH motor to move the dish. Good luck :)

Check out the radio stations off the sat. There should be a TV/radio button on the receiver. Also there is always shortwave.

Good luck and thanks. :up

Ironically, it seems about 50% of the FTA over North America is Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, etc as well.
