Unfortuneatly, that's probably how it would be if something like that actually happened. No TV or music sources, computer games, etc.Agreed, it had great potential but it was shot pretty droll and dark themes/music.

Agree on the potential, though I didn't find it amusing (droll). Indeed, it did have dark themes.Agreed, it had great potential but it was shot pretty droll and dark themes/music.
Sorry, what I meant was the background dark show theme music that was playing during the intro's, etc. Daa, Daa, dumm,,,,,, Daa,dumm. along with the whoshing sounds. Just watch one and you can see that it's not the trumpet playing of SG1 or the orchestra of SGA.Agree on the potential, though I didn't find it amusing (droll). Indeed, it did have dark themes.
I don't remember the music at all. I did skip episodes that did not further the main story arc.
There is a short story book (in comic form I think) from one of the original writers that goes into what would have happened on the first few episodes of season 3. Eli starts exploring the Discovery and finds previously inaccessible areas with tech and stuff. I haven't read it yet, but did read a synopsis. While lamenting the too early loss of Stargate Atlantis, I watched Stargate Universe, they cut it short early also kind of leaving it hanging...
I'd rather wait for the movie to come out rather than read some comic book. But that'll never happen unless they hire different actors. There is a short story book (in comic form I think) from one of the original writers that goes into what would have happened on the first few episodes of season 3. Do you remember the name of this book? There is a short story book (in comic form I think) from one of the original writers that goes into what would have happened on the first few episodes of season 3. I must be missing something. Did some of the actors pass away?I'd rather wait for the movie to come out rather than read some comic book. But that'll never happen unless they hire different actors.
Don't know. It's unlikely the original cast would be coming back in a reboot of the series, anyway.I must be missing something. Did some of the actors pass away?
There ya go. If you spring for it, let us know what you think if it's worth getting it.Do you remember the name of this book?

Yeah, and that's why I decided not to get it. If I could lay hands on real paper, I would have gone for it.$20 for the Kindle edition?
Don't F*** it up'Stargate,' 'Robocop' revivals in the works with new TV shows and movies on the way
Not a whole lot of meat in there but apparently some future Stargate from Amazon is still possible.
If they do it, I hope they do it right and not ruin it...basically what Joe said...'Stargate,' 'Robocop' revivals in the works with new TV shows and movies on the way

To those asking, the creatives behind SG-1. Atlantis, and Universe are out of the loop on this so, alas, we have no information for you.
The remakes are never as good as the original. Changing characters kind messes things up also. I lost interest in SG-1 when they got rid of the O'Neill character. If they do it, I hope they do it right and not ruin it...basically what Joe said...
Well, if they brought back the original cast, it'd be kinda like Picard season 3, so I expect a different cast...pretty much a given. It's who they cast in the main roles and what the setting/plots are like that will determine whether it's worth watching or not.The remakes are never as good as the original. That's why I have all the dvd's of the series for things like this. Or if a streaming service goes out of business. If anyone here has been watching any Stargate on Amazon it appears to be leaving on January 1.
Stargate Listed For Removal From Amazon Prime Video (Again) » GateWorld
Makes no sense as Amazon now owns the franchise. Hopefully something new is in the works.
