Star Wars III on HD HBO

Well not in Starwars, but in some films they "open the matte" for TV. They film in 4:3 and matte down to 16:9 for the theater. Then when do a full screen release they simply remove the mask and you end up actually seeing more of the picture. But, a lot of times you may see some items that are not supposed to be seen like the tip of the microphone in some scenes or stuff on the floor that should not be there. So, one cannot always say that you see more in OAR, but you can say it is as it was in the theater.
