SS Music at Intelsat 17 - Downlink in Malaysia

Hi all,

i got a question here. currently i'm downlinking SS Music from Intelsat 17.
Here is my location coordinate in Malaysia.

Latitude : 2.9405
Longitude : 101.6592

I'm using 4.5m dish , solid antenna.
My receiver is Tandberg RX1290.
Signal reading through the receiver is

C/N: 12dB
C/N Margin : +4dB

Unfortunately, i got video error, intermittent black..

anyone can help me to solve this issue.

Welcome to the forum! I take it you are trying to receive a music video channel, and not a satellite radio signal...how are the other channels coming in on that satellite? If one channel is weak and others are ok, then I usually blame that on just weak satellite signal and not bad equipment. With a dish that big, you should be able to get most everything clearly. Check the skew of the lnbf, the elevation of the dish, focal distance, all the usual variables.

Edit: Satelliteguys-he's trying to get a c-band signal that is MPEG4-HD &DVB-S2, according to lyngsat, I'm not well versed in MPEG4 stuff if anyone else has any suggestions for him.
