Hey,

I would like to set up the following in my living room:

I have one big 58" tv already in my living room.

I would like to put about 6 additional tvs on a wall in my living room for a total of about 7 tvs downstairs.

The goal is to have an awesome setup to watch sports. I want to have one main game on and then be able to have six separate other games on. This would be mostly for football and basketball.

In addition to these tvs, I would want to have 3 tvs upstairs as well, one per room in my 3 br townhome.

Can you guys tell me how much this would likely cost to setup from direct tv and after that how much per month I might expect to pay?

Does direct tv offer NBA and NFL passes where you can watch all of the games?

Thanks a lot

Choice Xtra w/ HD & DVR - $80'ish
7 receivers - $30 extra
NBA - $160 ish
NFL - $300 ish

Install is free but you will want to plan out where to put that many receivers. You can use RF mode on remotes so they can be hidden. You could also wire it to share receivers with the bedrooms, but that would be custom work either yourself or paid to an installer. (Think either long HDMI or Component cables or an RF modulator and running coax.

Don't forget the cost of the receivers. You may get one or two for free, but not 7 or 10 (including the bedrooms). You will have to do some serious negotiation.....It also depends on if you want HD-DVR's or just HD receivers. The cost is double for a HD-DVR vs an HD receiver. A HD-DVR is around $199.00 but you can find them online for cheaper. Don't risk buying used, and remember, anything you buy online is leased as well.

I used to watch the NFL on 5 TVs in my den for that "sportsbook" look. Now I just have one TV with the main game and one with the "Red Zone" and don't miss a thing.

I want the party setup!!!

I was wanting to get some suggestions on how to set it up, including what size TVs would work best for the the wall. Are there people that specialize in that kind of thing that could give me some suggestions by coming out to my place?

Thanks
