Mike what kind of connection are you on?

If your on broadband the pageload times should be about the same since everything is in iframes, but if your on a slow connection then it takes time to load everything even though the ads are in iframes. I have a feeling your on a really slow connection.

um, hate to burst your bubble, but in some cases you are just as guilty as others.

Seems like if folks dont agree with a posters views or their favorite "power conference" they need to ridicule that person.

Back to 8-15 seconds per page load today with the ads, versus a couple of seconds per page yesterday, without the ads.

If you use chrome or fire fox you can install ad blocker.

I think more than the speed of loading pages, it's that the content seems to have dropped significantly in recent months. It seems like a good chunk of the regulars don't post as much as they used to. People want to be a part of an active community. It get's old talking to yourself all the time.

As for annoying ads, those seemed to have stopped when I installed the ad-blocker from Google Chrome.

This is a very good forum and website. But I don't come her eoften because it takes forever to open up the pages. I wish something could be done to make the site faster because it's one of the better websites on the Internet.

Question, is it the whole site that loads slowly, or just the Sports section ?

IF its the Sports section only, then yes, it could be the ESPN line, if its the site as a whole, then the ESPN line has nothing to do with it.

I wish it would go away, just for the fact that it doesn't work the way it should ....
