Specify Chanels for Recording

I have some channels that are near duplicates. I will get channel 7.0 for a DISH Local, but may also get a channel at 7.1 using an OTA antenna.

Is there a way to specify a shwo to record on one or the other? There is a option for channels within timers, but it does appear to let me enter in decimals to specify 7.0 or 7.1.

Any advice?

Select the desired channel off the guide. If you want, use 7-1 with choices on that dvr screen. If you want 7-0 use that as separate selection. IF you are setting manual timers, the OTA are listed separate but not neccessarily next to the dish supplied locals.

I'm assuming here, by selecting weekly, daily or new, the dvr should record the same channel as opposed to similar channel with same programs. Just don't be surprised it messing up once in a while depending on how you set it up. I would suggest playing around with it till you understand what it may do. Double check the Daily Schedule screen, it will tell you what is set up.

To force it to record local off the satellite, I have used the four-digit channel number for that before.

Godo advice. That takes care of it that way, but no way to specfically specify OTA versions eg. 7.1, 4.1?
