Sound Glitches (not sync, other) 622

With the new season of TV starting up I've been watching more HD content lately.

I started to notice it with Hero's on Monday. Lip sync was off for about the first 15 minutes. Skipped a couple commercials and sync was better, but I heard a glitch for a moment. It sounded like an electronic noise that lasted about 1 second and obscured the sound. The DD light didn't go off on the stereo. I figured maybe it was the sound guys fixing the sync.

Well then about 30 minutes later it happened again. I've heard it a couple times since, including on live and recorded stuff. On the recorded I tested it through the TV sound, through the stereo sound, through the HDMI, and through the Svideo and regular audio jacks.

That all tells me it is an issue coming down from Dish or the 622 decoding. It seems to be only HD stuff, though that is what I've watched the most recently.

Anyone else notice this?

Here in Indianapolis, Heros sync was off directly from OTA to TV (bypassed 622).

You could have artifacts originating from low signal strength of your HD satellite.
Do you hear pops and clicks?

I don't know if I'd call it pops and clicks, it definately is a digital sound. Almost like when you have a corrupt .wav file or badly encoded mpg file. No visual glitches occurring at the same time, so that is what had me discounting a signal strength issue.

Though with light rain today I've got TP9 on 129 at 20 (new scale) while the same SD channel on the 110 bird is at 45. Lost sat lock on 129 a couple times today with the rain.

hmmm.. yesterday my cousin was watching george lopez on HBO and like for a second u heard that noise from like the analog channels when u dont get signal?
