Just got off the phone with Voom b/c of trouble with antenna they installed. Talked to CSR about my OTA problems. He said "Voom is working on a system to bring all locals through the satellite."

I said "HD locals?"

He replied "I don't think so. I think it would be just digital."

Does this mean Voom's going LOL route? I hope not. Maybe this is new PR campaign to appease the natives upset with OTA reception. If the PQ's bad now, imagine trying to squeeze locals into the mix. ARGH!

The funny thing is as soon as I get my OTA antenna working right to go along the new holes in my brand new roof, they will run them thru the dish.. LOL My luck Cya Slick

Maybe on the West Coast, but they could add 26 "cities" by the end of the year using AMC-6 and Rainbow-1 and WM9/MPEG-4 without compromising PQ.
