Blue is the hip new color for AV equipment. It's been that way for a few years now. Personally, I like it.

I'm glad they didn't go with a different color because of some stupid anti-BlueRay marketing decision.

I've seen very little anti-Blu marketing from the HD-DVD camp. (Yes, I know the red pill/blue pill commercial.) That red light can be slightly annoying at night. It's not much worse than a clock radio.

Honestly, I like the red better. I already have blue and green lights on my ps3 and that damn glowing blue circle(now turned off) on the HR20.
