My local cable has SNY on "basic" analog cable, which I kept, so I can watch the Mets on blown up, stretch-o-vision analog CH 33. However, it's very annoying since the cable offers YES, MSG, SNY and MLB Network, all in HD. I don't have the box or pay for their HD service, but am tempted to dump dish and go back to cable.
I sent an email to ceo at dish and got this response when the blackout first hit.
Canned letter, I would guess.

Good afternoon,
Thank you for taking the time to email your concern over our SNY takedown, with our contract expiring we are not allowed to broadcast this programming until we reach an agreement.
I am hoping this will be resolved shortly and I appreciate your patience and any time you decide to give us to resolve this.
If you have a link to what you read about DISH Network not caring about RSN’s I would appreciate you forwarding that to me. We absolutely realize that sports programming is a huge part of television entertainment and a big deciding factor for many consumers when choosing a provider.
We have seen significant increases in the cost of providing RSN’s which makes each negotiation increasingly more difficult.
I hope that this negotiation resolves quickly and our customers are not affected for too long.
Please let me know if you have any further issues, questions or concerns and please check back with me before you make the decision to disconnect service.
Thank you for all of the business you have given us and hopefully you will continue to use us as your television entertainment provider.
Sincerely,
Brian Martinez
