small dent on 1000.4 dish

Hi guys,


I just got a 1000.4 dish from ebay I can use this summer for camping and noticed it has a small dent in the middle do you guys think it's going to affect my signal?
my whole purpose on getting a 1000.4 was to get a better signal then a 1000.2

Nah, that shouldn't be a problem.
It's when the dish is warped and doesn't "catch" signal from the respective satellites correctly that you run into issues.

Agree on the dent itself being insignificant. But what if whatever caused the dent also caused a warp?

I think that's from a BB or pellet gun (probably CO2 powered to make a dent like that). No way it would have warped it though.
