sluggish remote

The IR remote for tv 2 on my 622 is very sluggish even with new batteries. It is ten years old and I am wondering if I need a new one?

You can't use an IR remote on TV2 unless the TV2 remote is in the same room as TV1.

I don't think our receivers will allow the TV2 remote to be programmed as anything but UHF (probably what the OP has).

Make sure that the antenna on the back of the receiver is hand-tight, and try adjusting it a bit to see if helps. If the remote is still giving you trouble, feel free to send me a PM for details on a replacement remote.

I have the same problem with my 722. My other receivers are fine, but I had to get a UHF remote for tuner 1 (because of the way my cabinet is made it wouldn't work well with IR), and it is very sluggish. :-(
